Our toolset will improve productivity, time-to-market and the quality of software solutions in planning, development and operations.
We will research new ways for using AI to identify requirements and derive functionalities and system architectures
With tools for code generation and interactive refinement, cross compilation and advanced debugging, we will improve code quality while adhering to ethical and legal standards including code origin and license checks.
New approaches to test automation, functionalities for measuring and improving energy efficiency of software and a suite of tools for regulatory compliance in software development using AI mean that we will create tools to support crucial operational needs.
We will integrate, test and demonstrate our research in challenging and practical real-world application scenarios with a range of specific requirements
Welcome to AI4SWEng
We are an international research project co-funded by the EU Horizon Europe programme and the Swiss State Secretariat for Research and Innovation. Our mission (and full project title) is “AI Engineering Suite to support Agile Efficient Software Engineering”, but you can call us AI4SWeng (best pronounced as “AI for sweng”).
This website will introduce you to the project, and over time we will be able to give you access to many of the tools and resources that we are developing in the project.
Here are some things you can do right now to get started:
More to come soon!

What will we deliver through the project?
As a large research project, we will also produce a lot of output including project reports and documentation (“deliverables”), prsesentations and scientific publications. You can find those in our resources section on this website.
Tools
We are developing new AI tools for software engineering that will help you create better software more efficiently.
Tutorials
We provide you with tutorials, best practices and hands-on materials so you can make the best use of our tools and use AI safely and legally compliant.
Processes
New AI tools can be used to streamline and improve existing software engineering processes. We will describe how that can be done.
The AI4SWEng consortium
You can find more information on our consortium in the Consortium section on this website.
