We have held our first plenary meeting on the 8th and 9th of October 2025 in Heraklion, Greece – our second in-person event after our kick-off meeting in Talin, Estonia at the beginning of April. For us, plenary meetings are always great opportunities for direct and collaborative discussions to plan the work for the upcoming project period.
In Heraklion, our work focused on progressing the work on four key topic areas for the project:
- Further detailing our project use-cases to ensure that they are a good fit with the overall project requirements and at the same time focus our work on the real-world needs of our end-user stakeheolders.
- Making sure that we can measure how well we perform against our main success criteria (our Key Performance Indicators, KPIs) at all times.
- Completing our requirements gathering and prioritisation processes for our key innovations and the use-cases.
- Reaching consensus on the major decisions for our system architecture.
Beyond that, we also learned from and discussed relevant ethics and compliance matters with our external Ethics Advisor, Tuomas Tammilehto from Laurea, Finland. Technical presentations and workshops concerning our core topics rounded off the multi-faceted work of our very successful and engaging meeting.
The island of Crete provided a beautiful backdrop for our work, and the consortium would once again like to that our colleagues from the Foundation for Research and Technology for hosting us at their premises and their hospitality.
As always, we close with a group photo from our meeting. Until next time!
