Exciting news! After having been selected for funding by the European Commissions Horizon Europe framework and the Swiss Confederation after a competitive proposal and review process, our collaborative project AI4SWEng officially started and we held our official project kick-off meeting on the 3rd and 4th of April 2025 in Tallinn, Estonia.
AI4SWEng is a groundbreaking initiative that will leverage novel AI and data technologies to accelerate software development and maintenance throughout the full DevOps cycle. We will combine the expertise of 15 partner organisations to revolutionise software engineering by developing AI-powered tools that will significantly reduce development times, improve code quality, and enhance energy efficiency during development and operations.
To achieve this, the project will harness the power of large language models and other AI technologies to automate and optimise processes. Our project will introduce transformative innovations including reverse execution capabilities, dynamic slicing, natural language to formal requirements conversion and energy-efficient TinyML-driven solutions. We will test and demonstrate our solutions several demonstration scenarios for applications in healthcare and energy management, and we will share our work with everyone by making code and results available on our website and across the relevant online platforms and repositories.
